About me

My name is Kasia Purcell. I am an accredited psychotherapist and clinical supervisor working with children, adolescents and adults. I have a vast experience working in therapeutic, social and training fields in Ireland since 2004. I am passionate about supporting families,  children, adolescents and adults in their journeys through difficult times or periods of self discovery.

I believe that in a safe, supportive and non-judgemental therapeutic relationship, clients can work through their problems, heal their past and learn to live to their full potential. In my work I offer compassion, humour and hope for every client no matter how lost and low they may feel.  Through collaborative and creative work with clients, I support them in discovering and accepting who they truly are.​​​

I use empirically supported evidence based strategies (see my qualifications below) to help clients reduce stress and calm their nervous system, so they can let go of their unhelpful defence mechanisms and find meaning in their lives. 

I enjoy group work including training for teachers, parents and social groups for young people. I provide supervision and workshops to professionals in the caring roles (therapists, GP's, social workers and students).

My interests and areas of expertise are in the fields of parenting, trauma, attachment, adoption and adolescent identity work
